Cosmic Care provides complex and intensive behaviour support across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Region. We work with participants whose support needs are significant, and we built the practice around a hard truth: most failed placements aren't a workforce problem, they're a preparation problem. Workers arrive without the training, the plan, or the support behind them to actually do the work.

That's why we stay focused. By taking on a smaller scope of work, we can train staff on the specific participants they support, brief them properly on each Behaviour Support Plan, and back them with senior oversight. We'd rather support a few participants properly than many poorly.

Trained on your participant before day one

Every worker completes participant-specific training before their first shift: custom videos and visual guides built from the existing plans, covering routines, protocols and high-risk interventions, and checked by the participant's own allied health team. Then we run multiple structured buddy shifts, not just one, before a worker ever supports solo.

A safety net that never clocks off

Shift notes track behaviours, medication, sleep, meals and health on every single support. Our online systems watch those records around the clock and alert us automatically when something needs attention, like a maximum daily PRN dose being reached or a bowel motion not recorded within 24 hours. Alerts back up our workers' own monitoring, so quiet warning signs are caught early.

Reporting that holds up at plan review

We keep 100% case note completion, with structured data on behaviours, goals and health. Allied health teams get clean, accurate records they can actually use, and when plan review comes around, the evidence for the right funding level is already on file.
